"There are metaphors that are more real than the people walking down the street."*I had never used so many layers in a composition and I had never saved so many files of the same image. Trippy stuff with so many details. Hopefully I picked up the most updated file.
This belongs to a series for a project I'm organizing entitled Earthchitectures.

METÁFORAS
Progresso e poluição
É um retrocesso de qualquer nação.
Destroi-se em nome do progresso
E deixa-se que a decadência
Se instale com a maior indecência,
Violando as cores uivantes da natureza
Aqui já moribunda,
Num sombrio retrocesso
A um tempo onde abunda
A irracionalidade na melodia de uma certeza:
Metáfora ou não,
Deixa-se apodrecer o trabalho de anos
Para que pereça perdido no chão
E lá nos mantemos nós em desenganos
Sabendo de antemão
Que depois daquela decadência virá nova construção
E, tudo em nome da ganância,
Essa devoradora que nos consome e rasga por dentro
E por fora durante anos e anos,
Tentando fazer-nos esquecer o brilho da infância
Porque ser adulto ao é ser o centro
De um sucesso imposto por uma casa ou carro de luxo,
Mesmo que não seja o verdadeiro fluxo
Da nossa interior aspiração...
Metáforas de um tempo que se vê desmoronar
Pelas ruas e outros belos recantos
Que poderiam ser recolhidos nos seus encantos
Mas, é mais fácil vê-los decair e acabar
Para que outros, construam uma fortuna em seu lugar.
E assim, numa metáfora maior que a realidade
Cai na rua, perante a construção e a criatividade,
A maior dor da nossa triste realidade,
É assim que vai ruindo a força da cidade,
Outrora forte e, hoje, fraca se arrasta pelo tempo
Não, por ser o seu passatempo
Mas, porque a sua queda trás benefícios
A gente de oportunos ofícios
Que vão construindo torres de marfim,
Não! Não é para ti, nem para mim!
É para encher a barriga aos gulosos
Que se fazem modernistas e manhosos
Para acabar com a beleza que se viveu aqui...
