Things are getting interesting, aren't they?
Introducing: Ink! Boswell, alternatively called Ink! Nathan,my little "interpretation" of the mysterious unknown character of BATDR. And I say "small interpretation" because that is really it: just a silly interpretation. I don't believe that the unknown character of BATDR will really look like that. Think of this interpretation as a "What if" concept that I might eventually use for one of my Bendy AUs in the future.

Maybe I'll do another design/interpretation of the Unknown in the future. Who knows.

Let me go a little bit in the thinking process of why I decided to design a design for Unknown where he looks like a cat with a mustache,a monocle and a crooked eye.

First:the cat. In September 2020,the book "Bendy:Crack-Up Comics Collection" was released,which is a collection of comics related to Bendy released by Joey Drew Studios within the universe. In one of these comics,we are introduced to Boswell Lotsabucks,a millionaire cat that has already been the target of some pranks by Bendy and Boris. And as much as this is just speculation,and nothing has been confirmed at the moment,people are theorizing that Boswell is a symbolic representation of Nathan Arch.

And this is the second point I want to go to: Nathan Arch (Sr.). Introduced in a secret audio log in Boris and the Dark Survival, Nathan is an old friend of Joey Drew that he met in WW1, and is currently the owner of the "ArchGate Films" studio. And he seems to have an importance within the lore of the BATIM universe, since he is the current owner of the Bendy franchise at the moment (And by the way, he was the one who launched the Crack Up Comics within the universe, the same book where we discovered the existence of Boswell).
And with everything we know about Mr. Arch at the moment, many people are seeing him as the possible candidate to be the unknown character of BATDR.

In short: The Unknown is Nathan Arch (perhaps in some way or another),who is Boswell,or at least,a corrupted ink version of the character.

And the drawing above is basically a representation of this idea.

Now,going a little off the beaten track to explain one more detail of this design, remember Atlas ? This character of mine that I introduced some time ago? I explained this before,but one of the things that inspired me in creating Atlas was a theory created by a Tumblr user known as TheDreamFisher about an One-Eyed Bendy. Summary of the theory: there is possibly a secret antagonist in BATIM who is following Henry around the studio,and who is always accompanied by the image of a one-eyed Bendy.

And with the existence of BATDR, we know that there is someone inside the studio with evil goals in mind. Also,we have Boswell, a character who looks a little bit like Bendy in appearance, and who wears a monocolor that always covers one of his eyes, making it look like he only has one eye.

If we collect all this information, and assume that these theories are correct, we basically have this:

One-Eyed Bendy: A type of antagonist not seen in BATIM who pretends to be a Bendy,and who is always followed by an image of a one-eyd Bendy -----> Boswell is a character who has a bit of similarity with Bendy, who has an eye always covered by his monocle -----> Boswell seems to be a symbolic representation of Nathan Arch -----> Nathan is one of the main candidates to be BATDR's Unknown -----> Unknown does not seem to be a character with good intentions -----> Unknown seems to be the (first and only) candidate most plausible to fit in the role of One-Eyed Bendy -----> BATDR's Unknown is Nathan, who at the same time is (in a way) a corrupt version of Boswell's character, is also the One-Eyed Bendy.

And the drawing I did above/the design of Ink! Boswell basically represents that whole idea.

That was a big explanation,sorry about that. But it's not like writing great descriptions is my specialty haha. As I said before, this Ink! Boswell/Nathan is a kind of fun concept and it is not to be taken a 100% serious prediction of what I think the real appearance of the unknown character is.

As much as I liked the design, I was thinking of making an alternative, more "realistic" version of it. As we are talking about a character that will appear in Bendy and the Dark Revival, a game that, in terms of graphics and models,is far superior to Bendy and the Ink Machine, I think that the character design needs to be kind of more "realistic" , different from the more "cartonish" tone that the original game has. But that will be for another day.

And hey, I posted this before the first of April,being in that day that we discovered the existence of "Unknown" for the first time,2 years ago. Just in time for a birthday. How time flies, doesn't it?
I better finish this description. If I keep making these long descriptions, it is likely that I will accidentally create the next chapter of the Bible.
