COFFEE AT THE YELLO BAR: 8-13-23

In this exercise, I started with a very rough pencil sketch, then laid in the paint colors, and then proceeded to carve out the parts that needed correction, or just plain weren't working. When I'm working, it's important for me to not get too precious about any one thing, and with painting, it's very easy to "fall in love" with a section and not be objective about whether it's working or not. This final piece had about 6 points where I looked and redrew something, or a whole section, or made a color change.
