Im currently finishing this portrait, but not rushing things up. Since its my first portrait painting using photoshop, i want to make sure everything is perfect. i really like her eyes..So pretty! By the way my reference is a portrait picture of ruth taken by patricechiniara. Tnx for the Photo!here's the 'almost done' version [link]

haha, yeah. but every 2 hours i took a break. playing basketball, guitar or PS & eating or whatever. Seeing guys who's very good in making a realistic painting inspires me more. Knowing that i can do the same thing on my own techniques.. glad it turned out good naman.

i used a custom brush here. then i think i used no spacing, and no its not wet edges, i just turned down the flow to 2%. I did used spacing for the shadowed areas and some highlights.. then the rest is filters and duplication of layers to create lots of different skin tones for just this type of skin.

May I know the settings of your brush if you dont mind?
Other than 2% ? is the spacing at 25%? wet-edges?

I am so new at this that I just figured out how this message thingy works, and all the stuff that other people do just totally blows my mind. ( I know I am naive )
It's fav because reminds me of all the thing that could be done. And personally I like it better than the real thing because it shows how much work was put into it. ( not that I don't like the finished product ) I am just fasinated with how it's done.

guys i just updated this file, trying to finish the skin.... i did a lot of layers anf effects to get the skin tone that i want... so hard.. that's all for now!

the skin has veins.... look deeper....hehe
