Description [Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3]

Starring as the Spy.

Sometimes, we all need a shoulder to lean on.  Even if that shoulder belongs to a dirty rotten Spy.

Peabody Pyro's superiors don't take the loss at Badwater Basin well, and neither does Peabody Pyro.  In a fit of anger as he is forced to question everything his life has been leading up to at that point, he breaks down, tosses aside his beloved Backburner, starts smashing his prized collection of hats with a Homewrecker, and wallows in self-pity.  Fortunately, Doombringer175 shows up just in time to intervene.  Even though Peabody Pyro has had quite enough with Spies recently and initially lashes out at him, Doombringer175 won't just stand back when there's a friend in need.

I know this is something that I intended to finish at least a month ago, but you know how I am, so you'd better get used to it if you aren't already.  Besides, working with Valve-related properties means I can play the "Valve Time" card if I so please... right?

While the first two parts featured heavy experimentation with the Particle Control tool, this time I focused mainly on lighting and GMod's post-processing effects.  I envisioned this part taking place in a dark spawnroom with only a single light, but such a spawnroom does not exist as far as I know.  As such, I used the Itemtest room and, by using a combination lamps, flashlights, and post-processing effects, tried to make the room appear dark with only a single light.

I'm particularly pleased with how the panel of Peabody Pyro smashing the hats came out.  It was also probably the most difficult panel to get right.  The panels with Peabody Pyro leaning on Doombringer175's shoulder was also difficult; I had to end up doing a Google Image search for "friends supporting each other" or something like that to find a good reference pose.

The first six panels may make you feel a little uncomfortable.  If they do, then I've succeeded.  If not, and you think it's just corny and over-dramatic, you can enhance the scene by imagining Peabody Pyro screaming "YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LISA!"

The sixth panel was directly inspired by the third panel of Happy Birthday Waluigi .

Thanks, Doom.  You've been a real friend to me.

Team Fortress 2 belongs to Valve.  Garry's Mod belongs to Garry Newman.

Ah, good to see he didn't get fired, just a referral. Otherwise he would've gone down the cruddy path to those o.W.n. folks.

Like the lighting experimentation here. Seems to have worked well.
