She used to be one of those goody-two-shoes; going to school by day, fighting monsters by night. What a boring existence that was!
Perhaps she only realized later, or was always skeptical from the beginning, but it soon became obvious who the real monsters were.
It's true! there's nothing more ugly than humanity itself!
So why should she risk her life to save a bunch of ungrateful wannabes? life is too short for such nonsense.
