Description
Ok, some time ago, GW released a new army list for the Sisters of Battle. Being a fan I rushed out and got it only to discover most of the Inquisitorial stuff ripped out. However, there was an upside, with new rules and the ability to have a whole unit of crusaders. In the past my Inquisitor had two personalised, female, Crusaders in her retinue, however these models were quite old. So I resolved to create 8 new Crusaders for my army, and about the middle of 2012 I got started.

This is one of the first two I made. They were a proof-of-concept as much as anything, and the success I had working on them spurred me on to make the rest.

The face and the fleur-de-lys on the shield are from other models, but the rest is scratch built. I’m particularly proud of the (power) spear which was carved out of some plasti-card, and modelled on the power lances of the old Grey-Knights models. This model in particular went so well that I was convinced to continue the project.
