I don't think it's just the voice-- he didn't exactly have the emaciated body of a mummy, either. And something about the lining in his face just adds to atmosphere without making us think he probably smells like old leather. XD (So, overall, time's been pretty good to him. lol)

lol Let's see. If we compile the suggestions thus far, he'd have the look of an aristocrat, but dressed in some sort of S&M gear. Sounds good to me~!

Although you know, I can't talk, that LP was what got me to buy the game too. Honestly I find Daniel to be a bit of a twat in terms of character, but I suppose when you're half our of your mind and have the very pits of hell chasing after you, you don't exactly stop to consider the morality of what you do and say. She's certainly got more determination than I have, because I'd have honestly run screaming from that game at several points in her LP. Although at the same time, the game is one of the few games I've played that both scares me to the point of near tears.... and then has me running back for more.

I think Daniel's questionable actions and justifications for these actions really only add to the true psychological nature of the game. It keeps you guessing and it leaves so much open for interpretation, which in a way makes it all the scarier. Are the Servant Grunts and Brutes truly creatures from the pits of hell Alexander managed to make through the torture of prisoners or whatever? Or, quite possibly, are they humans who simply appear as monsters in Daniel's fractured mind?
Honestly, I think they're real creatures just because that adds a "GTFO MR.FACE AND YOUR BROKEN JAW" factor, but.

YEAH. YEAH. Its so true. I love that "open for interpretation" element. And as for the servants I always thought they were Alexander's human helpers that he transformed or mutilated into monsters? But I'm not sure either! But O_O HOLY CRAP. I really that idea of them being humans who that are deformed only by Daniel's insanity! That's a nice one.
