Description
FINALLY got a nice uninterrupted chunk of time to draw today (4-5 hours).Really got down into the nitty gritty: Cleaning up the line art.
Bummed that I didn't get to work more on designing the characters' clothes.
Majority of today's session was spent correcting their heights/proportions/anatomy.
Unfortunately since I originally started this project in Clip Studio Paint, then switched over to Photoshop CC halfway; Had to spend most of today's session re-drawing over old lines and making it clean, crisp, and Photoshop-friendly. (Image size was originally smaller in CSP, then got blown up larger in PS, so most of the lines were pixellated).
Also spent a lot of time researching the correct proportions for full-body poses.
During the 4 years I've been on dA so far, like 90 percent of my drawings have been headshots or busts only, very rarely full body drawings. Discovered that this is one of my weak points (full-body drawings); I didn't know my proportions were SO OFF, and I tended to make characters bodies/limbs waaay too skinny (which was in turn throwing off their heights.)
Note/to-do for next session:
- PLEASE FIX GERTIE'S IMAGE FILE SIZE.
It seems to be smaller than the other characters.
