🟡⚪️🟣⚫️ Happy Nonbinary Awareness Week!! 💛🤍💜🖤

this is my first time being able to acknowledge and celebrate it ;w;

unnecessary backstory time:
specifically for me, I’m agender (or genderless; however that’s not true for all nonbinary folks!! nonbinary is any identity that’s not 100% male or female). I’ve never “felt” anything towards my gender, and as a younger kid I didn’t care what pronouns people used for me. I’ve always just felt pretty neutral about gender, and hated the idea of womanhood people expected of me, but didn’t think I related to transgender experiences until I explored it further at the beginning of the year, after realizing cis folks dont overthink gender like this. I’m just very thankful I’m in a time where there are so many helpful resources about gender; it helped a lot to be able to use the community, experiences, and resources to figure out more about my identity and to find the right label!! gender is quite a complex or confusing issue and many factors influence how you label or experience it; it’s what made me overthink how and why I use the labels I do, and the many micro labels added to my overthinking, everything’s so multi-faceted
figuring out this part of myself has brought me a small part of peace of mind for once in my chaotic life. I hope people who are still discovering can connect to those things to keep finding themselves.

in the future I hope I have more control to do some things to transition and help my mental health to feel more comfortable in the skin I’m in; for now it’s been really cool getting help from the online community ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
