“You’re a princess, I’m a prince—how about it, Kiara?” Majinuni asked, bouncing his eyebrows up and down.

She put her paw over her mouth, until she could speak again through her giggles.

“That’s a firm ‘I’ll think about it’, Majinuni,” Kiara said with a grin.

“Kuishi ni kuchecka!” he laughed.

A day in the life of a young, single princess This takes place sometime after the end of Battle for the Pridelands, but before Kiara’s first hunt.

I’ve been thinking about that early draft of TLK2, in which there was a scene where Kiara was meant to be choosing between potential suitors. I’m glad that got nixed, because I don’t like how it was executed there—but I can totally believe that a royal heir who doesn’t have a betrothal set up would get a lot of interest! So I wanted to draw Kiara with one of her… less serious suitors Majinuni does like Kiara, but not that way

I’ll probably write something about her interacting with earnest admirers, eventually, I think that would be really interesting. …But this came to me first
