Description

So now I did the Christmas siblings, I thought on going back to revamp this design I did on Mr. Snow.

Mr. Snow was one of the first Christmas characters introduced in the Mr. Men series, and is more of the talking snowman type. He was originally just a regular showman built by some children, but as brought to life by Santa Claus when he needed extra help with delivering toys.

I originally did his design sometime after Christmas 2011, and wanted to to make him more inspired by Frosty as I felt like too many of the Mr. Men were wearing bowler hats and his original design was a bit too bland. The original redesign I did was that he wore the same hat as Miss Magic (but with a different flower), a green scarf, a red polka dotted bowtie and blue mittens. The bowtie was a nod towards Frosty Returns as Eryk Casemiro worked on that movie, and he would later work in the Mr. Men Show.

But then I thought the design was a bit too much, like he was over dressed and I thought the mittens would be hard to animate. So I decided to go back and tried to trim down some things. I got rid of the scarf and mittens, but kept the bowtie and hat ideas. The hat is the same as Miss Magic's, but used a mistletoe instead (based on Target's Snowden character) and his bowtie is Mr. Funny's, but green instead of cream. The reason I wanted to reuse those props is like with the original book design, I wanted to give some familiarity with the other character designs. I figured that some of the Mr. Men and Little Misses would use some of their clothing to make Mr. Snow. Now as for how he'll come to life; it'll be one of these ideas. Either the hat makes him come to life like in Frosty, or Santa or Miss Magic would use their magic to bring him to life.
