I got the idea for this mainly from the song of the same title. I love her latest album and couldn't wait to create some Avril fan art! The Pose and basis for the colour scheme is taken from Avril's official website. [link]

I don't pretend to know Avril Lavigne as a person so I won't harp pointlessly on about how great she is. So instead here is my tribute to an amazingly tallented young woman. My own brand of inspiration drawn from her own.

I feel her music portrays not a strong and bulshy girl like many other generic female artists, but a vulnerable one and that her strength is drawn as a result of that vulnerability. Rarely does Avril sing directly about herself and the blame of enevitable love song heartbreak is not always aimed at the male species but of course sometimes she just wants to have fun. Her art is refreshing, realistic and always beautiful.
