I didn't really intend to re-design the mane 6...just draw them up in my style.
I did keep the long traditional unicorn tail for Rarity and I added some extra feathers for Dash and Fluttershy (because fluffy feathery pegasi are best)

This one is considered a pony though. Traditional unicorns are made up of the characteristics of multiple species, rumored to first be based off giraffes.

The pony unicorns are special in this regard, they dont have many attributes of "real" unicorns.
(I also read the Physiologus when i first saw the coat of arms of the city of Steyr, cause that doesnt look like a cat.)
