After sorting through his luggage and unpacking, Henry lies on his sofa and attempts to gather his thoughts. What should he do next? He wonders what has happened to Monk and Isaac while he was resting in the Sanitarium. Have they continued in their nefarious affairs. Have they in fact been arrested for their crimes. If they had, the police would not be able to connect them to Jekyll, however this was another issue when it regards Hyde. He shudders and hope they have been wise enough so as not to be arrested.
Henry now thinks of Marion. He should see her once she returns to Watertown. He certainly wanted to even more so now that she had important news. What was this news. How he wanted to see her again. It was now after she has been gone for four months that he realized that he was deeply in love with Marion. He missed the softness of her skin, the brightness of her hair and the scent of her perfume. Perhaps she and her father were right. His work was ruining him.
