And judging from his sense of humor, he saw you as only a source of amusement because he thinks that you obviously had no sense of humor or talent for comedy.
Wolf: *to Peri on radio comm* Basically, he doesn't find you as a worthy adversary for him, and doesn't take you seriously as a threat, only as a minor nuisance.

SharpClaw Soldier: They've taken out all of our remote drone fighters, sir!

But that's fine, it was just a warmup for them. *to the SharpClaw Dreadnought Battleships on a radio comm frequency exclusively to them* All battleships, concentrate your efforts on the enemy fighter ships. Abandon ship if your shields and hull integrity reach critical by teleporter into the flagship.
*out in Earth's orbit, the SharpClaw battleships soon start shooting at Peri and the Star Fox and Star Wolf teams, who dodge the shots in their ships*
Fox: *radio comm* Looks like the battleships are next in line to shoot us.
Slippy: *radio comm* Those can be very tough, considering their size, firepower, shields, and hull integrity.
Falco: *radio comm* So what? We just dodge their fire and keep pounding them until they're history.
Katt: *to Falco on radio comm* That's easy for you to say, little man. It's gonna take lots of Smart Bombs to beat them.
Falco: *to Katt on radio comm* Hey, I'm a GIANT man now, Katt. So I ain't so little anymore.
Peppy: *to Falco and Katt on radio comm* Can it, you two! We've got a thousand giant heavily well-armed, heavily well-armored, heavily well-shielded Dreadnought-class SharpClaw battleships to blast!
Bill: *radio comm* Guess the SharpClaw flagship isn't attacking yet, so we'll get to it after all of those battleships.

Peri:*radio comm* yeah after we take out the battleships.*as we begin to start fighting the battleships as we begin to blow them up with using lots of smart bombs*

Slippy: *radio comm* Analyzing a battleship... *uses his scanner in his Arwing on a SharpClaw battleship to get a full analysis* Analysis complete. Seems that the battleships have a LOT of shields and reinforced hull armor plating just like I thought. The shields recycle spent energy and the armor plating's military issue found in the Lylat System, and both of those aren't very easy to get. Regular laser fire may not be powerful enough to even chip the paint, but smart bombs can do the trick, though it will take lots of them in bunches to take them down.
Katt: *radio comm* Called it!
Falco: *radio comm* Yeah, yeah, we know. Let's open up a big can of pain for those lizard freaks!

*just as Peri and the Ghoulfriends and Rainbooms try to get in, their ships get easily repelled by a barrier deployed by the flagship*

Draculaura: *radio comm* It looks like some kind of defensive barrier. Very strong and totally impenetrable.
Twilight: *radio comm* Looks like we can't get in. Even I can't teleport us all inside with my magic.

*Fox, Falco, Krystal, Wolf, Leon, and Panther are in their DPC Armor, and Slippy, Peppy, Amanda, Lucy, Miyu, Fey, Fara, Katt, Dash, and Bill are in their SPC Armor*
Fox: Well, looks like this is as far our fighter crafts can get inside. Looks like we'll have to go in on foot from here. *tries to call through a radio comm* Peri, come in! You there?
*static is heard, as there's no response*
Wolf: So much for backup. Guess we're on our own from here.
Krystal: Guess we'll have to fight our way up to the new general of the SharpClaw.
???: *ship's intercom* I see you, Star Fox. Welcome aboard my flagship!
Fox: Okay, where are you? Show yourself!
???: *ship's intercom* What does it matter to you? You're just going to have to come on up and get to me. Take the stairs all the way to the bridge on the top floor. *chuckles* Just be sure to watch your step on the way up.
Krystal: That's exactly what we'll do.
*Star Fox and Star Wolf teams and their known associates all take the long way up, beating down and knocking out SharpClaw soldiers who get in their way*

Falco: So what's it to you? You gonna tell us who you are?
???: I am General Steele. The current leader, dictator, and conqueror of the SharpClaw Tribe.
Krystal: Steele, right? Are you the one who beat up all the other dinosaur tribes, just to humiliate and intimidate them?
Gen. Steele: Yes. And it was easy.
Slippy: *muttering* Wow, this brute is a giant bully.
Falco: No kidding, and I thought Powalski's a psychopath.
Wolf: Hey, at least he's not turning innocent dinosaurs into mutants.
Gen. Steele: Don't lump me in with this "Andross" you worked for. He was the biggest fool in Lylat, thinking he could conquer the Lylat System through fear and thought he and his army was invincible, only to be neglecting the flaws in his forces the whole time.
Fox: You don't know the half of it. He accidentally got my mom killed in a car bomb meant for my dad. And then tried to get my dad killed by turning one of his own against him.
Wolf: And Leon and I used to work for Andross even, until he's dead for good.
Dash: And he WAS my grandfather, until I'm through with him.
Gen. Steele: Is that so? Well then, enough about Andross. Now, General Scales was the reason why I reached his rank, and he taught me everything that he knew and all I needed to know. But, after hearing what happened to him, he's currently in a coma because of you. *points at Fox*
Fox: Me? I struck first but got countered by him. Andross made Scales begrudgingly surrender the sixth and last Krazoa Spirit, but the strain of releasing it had put him in that state. Blame it on him, not me.
Gen. Steele: Even so, that doesn't change the fact you're responsible for defeating Scales. So I'm going to avenge him, by breaking every bone in your body.
Fox: *smirks* Oh, we'll see about that. *draws his own staff*
Gen. Steele: You think that staff will take me down? I don't think using it will help you, Fox McCloud. I'm still going to break you.
Fox: What about your weapon?
Gen. Steele: *smirks as he draws a pair of big long clubs, one in each hand* Does this work?
Wolf: You just had to ask.

*Fox, Falco, Krystal, Wolf, Leon, and Panther went up close and personal with General Steele, the others kept their distance and started shooting and throwing bombs at him from afar*
