The chasm opened underneath,
I began tumbling down.
I already know what's coming.
I prepare myself to drown.

I thought I had things,
Under control.
My own mistakes,
Will take their toll.

I must search,
For the light,
And end this journey,
Of ceaseless night.

Up from the depths,
I must crawl,
And get back up,
From this crippling fall.

Time will tell,
What I need to know.
How much further,
Must I go?
