It's just amazing how the tree and the shadows work together... It actually makes me think of my old western civ slide lectures where my teacher would talk about the "sensuous S-curve." I know there's a more proper name out there, but it just goes to show that art techniques used during Greek civilization still carry their impact even in nature! AMAZING Shot!

nice atmosphere, the shadows give it a more obscure look...
the fact that it's close to mike's place makes it even more obscure

love the shadows and curves of the trees. i like that one branch that sticks out that is right below where the swing is tied, it reminds me of some evil figure waiting to cature someone on the swing as if the swing is a lure...:onders::

This is IMHO a truly excellent shot, and it deserves more comment. Compositional harmony, depth, range of values, humanity, it has everything a good landscape should have. Look at how the shadows flow towards the background, where the atmosphere reveals the depth of the pass through the hills in the back. See how the swing echoes the horizon line and guides the eye to the tree. Come ON people, this deserves comment.

This shot is simply beautiful. I love how the tree in the back looks so similar to the front one, it almost looks like a shadow. Really cool
