Breathe.
In and out.
Recent events flash before my eyes.
Ice cold talons deep in my soul,
Gaining strength as my hope slowly dies.
In and out.
Pressure builds within my chest.
Ubi amor, ibi dolor.
Given by the one I loved and trusted best.
Slowly, in and out.
The rage, pain, hopelessness descends.
Only the cadence can save what's left.
But against these things one cannot defend.
Staccato breaths.
Trying in vain to hold back the beast.
Turmoil of the mind and soul.
My breathing ceased.
Silence.
A soft breeze through the leaves.
The only thing that saves me,
reminding me to breathe.
In and out.
The crisis finally fades to grey.
Keeping my breathing steady.
For i will need it again.
Tomorrow is simply another black day.
