Description The sweet sent comes on the wind
Blackened mist filling the lungs
Moisture glistens eyes, red rimmed
Surprising how so destructive a force can smell so sweet
Crackling in the night
Amusing how even fire can keep a beat
They look to the north or east
Fear embedded in their minds
While I simply smile at the beast
Let them feel what they must
It will move with a mind of its own
In science we trust
Why does this scent stir the senses so?
Like something half remembered from a lost dream
Perhaps it is better not to know
For now we will bend and sway
If it consumes me
I'll face it that day
