The idea that they're essentially in some kind of induced psychosis is kinda cool, but overall I thought it was pretty lame. Β At the same time, Blizzard is clearly making an effort to kill off the Dragon Aspects. Β Not sure why yet, but I suspect they're leading up to something.

Ysera's spirit is still 'alive' in the Emerald Dream. She helps you fight Xavius in the raid encounter.
She can also be seen walking around the purified area after you defeat him.

I always liked how you made Night Elves look, too bad they don't look like this in WoW. btw, I must have missed something but who is she and what's her story?..

Oh I remember doing this quest. Yeah, I wasn't happy with how it ended either. Seemed rather.. un-epic? After looking closer I should have known it was Ysera, after finally noticing the armor and the circlet. Beautiful art though, <3 Ysera, rip ;_;

My nightelf demonhunter has a similar color pallet, too, only with white hair instead of black, and a bit paler skintone. Same red eyes, red tattoos, horns, etc. (IC. I'm a roleplayer.. Wish blizzard would allow us to customize character details a bit more)

I am aware that MOST DHs don't have eyes. Blizzard has not said that all DH's lose their eyes, and there's conflicting reports in non-canon lore. Some claim ALL DH's lose their eyes via ritual sacrificial gouging to receive spectral sight, and some say they do it as a side effect/reaction of the horror of the vision of the Burning Legion. Some eyes turn red or green, etc.
Basing information on the latter, my character's background is such that she would not gouge her eyes out in horror, so kept them, though there are consequences to keeping her eyes. They water frequently, she gets headaches, and generally wears a blindfold to alleviate that, but will peak out from under it now and then to get a clearer view of color and such.

Fair, tho I have to wonder the efficiency of a DH who keeps their eyes rather than accepting the controllable and powerful spectral sight.

Oh wow. I'll be honest, the feels when I saw this cinematic. But I couldnt help to think aswell that THIS, this is what I wanted to see.
I wanted to see her night elf form one last time before she vanished.

Nightmare corruption runs deep. It's not that simple to purify it when Xavius himself infected you. Considering the circumstances there was no time to purify her, nor would it work unless some extreme miracle happened

There's multiple angles to that. For 1: after the cataclysm Cenarius was much more powerful than Ysera. It hasn't been confirmed, but considering how close he was to her before the fall of deathwing, it's possible he was simply stronger. You also have to consider that, despite that great decrease in strength, she was still an OG aspect. Arrogance and overconfidence come easy when your a massive force of natural power with a tail that could crush a house and claws long as your opponent's body. And besides, MALFURION is malf- I TURNED XAVIUS INTO A TREE CUZ WHY NOT-ion. Though even ignoring how dumb they are when it comes to his power scaling, he was kidnapped by xavius. How on earth could we of stopped Ysera and purge her? He was gone. And likely the only one powerful enough to actually purge her spirit. Not to mention the fact there was a demonic siege at the temple of elune, which was now bring further pressed by a fallen Dragon Aspect. There was no time to purify her there, no time to move her either.
