Another nextgen done, another chosen via randomize. You’ll see a lot of those, as asides from a select few and the main 6, I don’t have any particular ships I enjoy.

This is Sucker Surprise. (Also known as Suckerpunch Citrine Surprise Pie)
(No I will not admit to any certain inspirations- what inspirations?)

Now, the question as to how an earth pony and a Unicorn had a little Pegasus?
Answer? Party Favors a carrier for Pegasi genetics. His mother was a Pegasus, and since Granny pie on limestone’s side was also a Pegasus, on top of other oddities in their family tree, they both carried the gene. So having a Pegasus foal wasn’t entirely off the table, just unlikely.

The two ultimately met via a setup by Limestones lovely pink party obsessed sister. The idea was for introduce Limestone to things outside of the rock farm, not to necessarily change her sister but to try and help her socialize. Meanwhile the only reason Limestone didn’t up and leave the second she was metaphorically cornered by her sister’s plan was- well she came there to deliver some of her family’s rocks for the small villages renovations.
She came all that way- she wasn’t leaving empty hoofed.
… well she didn’t. She left unknowingly expecting a foal… but then returned to drag the father by the ear back with her.
That’s a joke.
Mostly.

The two are very much attracted to one another- just not really “together.” They are in that stage where they are getting to known each other better while being co-parents. Since Limestone grew up with Pinkie- she was used to the more bombastic personalities. Thankfully however no pony can really top pinkie and asides from the spontaneous balloon creations Party favor doesn’t in anyway really remind her of her sister. He’s much more down to earth and given his past in the village, she’s not all that surprised.

The biggest “argument” either have had was really their child’s name. An argument that was entirely one sided. Party watched as his little comment of “they’re gonna be quite the Surprise, What if-“
Was simultaneously shot down aggressively because “Surprise isn’t a name.” Then was told in detail that every first born in the Pie family has been named after rocks for generations. ( except for Maud apparently) and she’s not going to be the mare that breaks that tradition now. Then again it’s already been broken. Well she could always give them a rock based middle name. Surprise doesn’t sound that bad.
Well maybe they can tack it in there somewhere… only to relent because ‘actually she really liked that name a lot, she’s definitely using it…’

He was going to recommend making the baby reveal a surprise party.

Sucker was born a tiny foal that from birth was fighting the world. She fought for her life being born premature, she fought a bad bout pneumonia that could have killed her, and the older she got the more physical those fights became. This filly was born angry and ready to buck the first thing that looked at her wrong.
