In the skies above planet Dabarun, a Stratus fighter travels a daily circuit over the plains separating the planet's two capital cities, Vera and Dimra. Though neighbors, Debarun's two countries are technically at war, the two powers have a tenuous truce. The fighter patrols of both sides deter incursions, while attempting to avoid encounters that can only lead to a fight. The crew of this fighter walk the tightrope daily. Their ship is equipped with plasma cannons, but the spy equipment is used more often.
