This was the flag of Fernostian after being annexed by the Soviet Union in 1964.Adopted in 14th November,1965, the red in the flag represented the revolution in general; black and white stripeon the left side symbolized prosperity and peace respectively.; the black and white waves symbolised the Amur river (or Black dragon river) that run across the country.

The flag was no longer in used after gaining independence in 26th April, 1990 from the Soviet Union after the collapse of the Eastern bloc.
