As the immortal Ed Norton once said to his pal Ralph Kramden, "quoting" the Brevet General*, "Don't worry boys - they look like friendly Indians!"

*Custer had been brevetted in the Civil War for his success as a cavalry leader, and was (in the war) a Major General - hence "General Custer".  In reality, due to cutbacks in the War Department budget for the Army after 1866, Custer was reduced to the rank of Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer.  It was as Lt. Co. Custer that he met his doom with his men at Little Big Horn on June 18, 1876.
