At the dawn of the Second Age the Great Stallion Korenos made love to the Goddess Lenninia and she bore a child, half-human half-horse, who she named Equus Ephorris. The young girl was raised to be guardian and protector of all the horse herds of the Western Plain and roams among them. She is guardian and protector for them and guides them to safety on behalf of the Great Stallion.
