This Terrible Distance

These times sometimes rob me of my words, sometimes rob me of my feelings.
I find it hard, because I'm trodding over the same old ground over and over again.
I'm living in my memories, and not the present.
Time when I see you again is so far away that I can't see your light
at the ending of this tunnel.
This darkness is enshrouding.
Once in awhile, I read your mind over this copper line
once in awhile I see your face, through this mess of time
My memories are a bit faded now, and I seeing you so
dangerous
I want to run into the darkness again, I want to throw it all away.
I can't, though
Everytime I look at the floor, I end up staring at the sky
I wonder if you see the same sky
You're so far away, but you're right within my grasp
Sleeping last night, I woke up with you in my arms
I stared into your eyes, and I spoke your name
I awoke, with tears in my eyes
My memories, are so sweet in their innocence.
I remember the way you bounced and moved in the light
the way you walked like a woman
binding eyes to your graceful form
I hate these memories,
browsing through an expensive store
with only a couple dollars in my pocket
This time, is so expansive
so much distance
Living in these memories, I love you so much.
I read your mail today, this line delivers you to me
I smiled and looked up from the floor
My heart was full, and all of this was worth it.
Waiting here for you, I'll be alright.
This distance, isn't too great for us to overcome.
Not with our love, and our binding.
