The thought of you impossible
to get off my mind
I felt shattered as the world
around me fell through the eves
and splattered on pavement below.
You put your arm around my waist
and thrust your eyes into my heart
The world closed it's mind to me
and handled me machine.
I lay in tears, every night
and watched as everything fell
everyone left, and the darkness fell
I felt like there was nothing
there was nothing
Bleak outlook, future none
I felt your hand grip my side
I felt a reason behind
I knew, I had waited right
known not to go, towards the wrong light
The dew is upon the air now
and your arm presses so neatly against mine
I wish.
The traveller streaked across the sky
Your name, fell into my arms and the birds flew
into the song's of their youth
I never knew, that the dawn could hold
all that it holds upon the life that lives
under it.
Wrap me up warm, in your arms.
I felt it well up deep in my heart
