Why I Post

We can climb all through this life,
and find nothing at all. The world
will stab us in the back, whenever we fall.

I write about my life, and others who follow
closely. None can really understand, when
speech is direct. I write in a beauty, and
I write in form.

I write with the secret desire, that someone
will read, that someone will look upon my
soul
and read my thoughts. And say that I'm not alone.
My craft, is my boat in the torrent of life.
"On board, I'm a captain" - climb aboard,
and I'll take you far away from here - to someplace
very near.

More, I wish to know the answers to my questions.
I want to know why I feel the way I do. I want
to know why others feel the way I do.

I wish recognition, I want to feel like I'm useful.
Good for something more than nothing. Validation
is what I seek, but not just once - but every week.

I want the spotlight, and I want to feel it's warmth
upon my skin. She'll never know, just what lies
beneath - but you will.

All who read, are a part of my life. I want to know
that my life, isn't so different. Isn't so worthless
and bland. A view is nothing, based upon a title.
But a comment is a thousand pats upon the back,
a job well done - and a message upon a plaque.

Most of all, I want to be a part of something. Something
greater than me, and something greater than you. I want
to be a part of The Community.
