Back from the dead! Nah, just kidding, I hit a creative block.

Part of being an author is accepting the fact that, sometimes, your brightest stories also have a dark side. The Ark Convoy storyline, telling of a group of fictional Central Illinois truck drivers, is no exception for me. These are the Tornado Bandits, a pair of thieves who terrorized Central Illinois on a major scale from 1986 to 1990, and part of the Ark Convoy "Underworld".

On the left is Wayne "the Warlock" Warszawski, a thief and a murderer hellbent on teaching snobs lessons in humility, and a big brother figure. For killing seven people in two separate incidents and stealing tens of thousands of dollars in money and jewelry, Wayne was sentenced to twenty years jail time and a fine of $10,000 for property damages caused during his escapades. He paid the fine on the spot, but only served twelve years of jail time before he was busted out. He died in 2002 in a deliberate gasoline fire that also fueled a methane gas explosion.

On the right is "Rickety" Ray Bagdonas, a power-hungry college janitor who quit and became a thief to feed his big ambitions. For stealing tens of thousands of dollars in money, jewelry, and scrap metal, Ray was sentenced to four years jail time, plus a $10,000 property damage fine. Ray paid his fines and served his sentence. Eight years later, in 2002, Ray found himself once again for property damage -- cutting a fence, damaging a government building, and blowing up an 18,000 gallon propane tank (yikes!). However, he wouldn't pay fines, nor would he serve time in jail -- he would die alongside Wayne in that Gasoline fire and the subsequent Methane gas explosion.
