Description
I wanted to do a piece that was made for black and white, and was dying to do it with my india ink so it would be a stark black. The opportune moment came when I thought of rorschach from watchmen. The blotches on his mask work well for the stark black and the detail in the jacket and hat also went well against the white. For the background I dripped ink on the paper and then pushed my hand on it, smudging it and slightly fading the black. Leaving more of an imprisoned look, much like his mask.
