My name is Alaina. I was born early in Cherrygrove City in the Johto region. My parents travel a lot to study pokemon in the wild. I always wanted to go with them, but ever since I was little, I've always gotten sick easily. MY parents didn't want anything to happen to me, so I stayed inside the house most of the time. Occasionally I was allowed to go outside and play, but not for very long. I love pokemon and always dreamed of catching my own one day. My parents wouldn't allow it since they didn't think I was strong enough.

As I got older, I grew more frustrated with them because I wanted to be like all the other kids with their pokemon. But my parents said wild pokemon take a lot of work to train and take care of. I tried telling them that I could do it, that I was strong enough, but they refused to listen.

One time, I got really sick. My parents were so worried since none of the medications they gave me weren't working. I remember this time so clearly because it happened on my 8th birthday. My grandmother came and visited from Azalea Town and she brought a pokemon egg with her. She said she rescued it from a wild pokemon attack.

Against my parents' wishes, grandma allowed me to keep the egg. It stayed in bed with me and I made sure to talk to it and keep it warm while it kept me company. Many nights, I dreamt about what it would hatch into. No matter what though, I would take really good care of it. Days turned into weeks which turned into months and there was not a lot a movement coming from my precious egg. My parents, being as concerned as they were, suggested that the egg was a dud and that's why it was attacked in the wild. I cried, clutching onto it for dear life. They were about to pry it from my hands when it suddenly started to glow. Within moments, the most adorable Eevee I had ever seen was curled up in the blankets of my bed. My eyes lit up at the sight of it, all brown and fluffy. I scooped it up in my arms and it nuzzled against me and in that moment I knew that we would be friends forever.

Even though I had my own pokemon, I still wasn't able to leave home. I was still sick and not strong enough to be on my own. But ever since I got Eevee, the doctor said I was amazingly getting stronger. I continued to take my medicines and I was able to play outside longer. I played with my pokemon every minute of every day, but we weren't able to do any formal training. Finally, when I turned sixteen, my parents and the doctor decided I was strong enough to go out on my own for a little bit. So I decided to go stay with my grandma in Azalea Town. There, she taught me the basics of pokemon training and helped me start to form a stronger bond with my beloved Eevee. I stayed with her for a couple years and was about to strike out on my own when I fell ill once again. It was nothing serious but I stayed with her for a while longer.

I was ninteen years old when I set out on my own journey. Not to become a pokemon trainer, but to travel and see the world. I had spent most of my life up until now indoors. So I wanted to travel and meet different kinds of people and pokemon. I wanted to record my journey, and perhaps write a book one day. Of course Eevee and I train super hard so that we stay in great shape! My parents are always worried about me, but I can handle myself at this point. My life has been a roller coaster but I can't wait to see what the future holds for me!
