Remember the book entitled "Commander Toad and the Big Black Hole"? Their ship, the Star Warts, gets stuck on what they learn later is the tongue of an ETT (Extra Terrestrial Toad). I attempted to calculate its size, assuming Commander Toad is the size of a normal toad (about 3 inches long, not counting his legs). If that's the case, the ETT would be about 60 times longer in every dimension (possibly about 15 feet long, not counting its legs, and 5.5 short tons in weight), and the Star Warts would be about 2.5 feet long overall. The ETT's tongue would be about 14 inches wide and able to flick out as far as 30 feet (from what the illustration suggested, the tongue could extend to become roughly twice as long as its owner's body).
