Description My girl friend and I had just broken up. It was painful even after some time. Misty in a way reflects what I was going through! The dark foreground was fading away because of the mist just as the pain was healing slowly. But it was still present. The man disappearing gradually in the mist is a passer-by but he could have been my alter-ego, aimlessly wandering and not knowing where I was going. The mist represented uncertainty of the future to me!

I think it was a negscan. I had lost a decent print from which I could scan. Si I scanned the neg with a Konical Minolta Dual II film scanner. 2800 dpi.

thanks. im about to buy a negscan because of no time for printing and a lousy enlarger... so im deciding what scanner to buy.

Give me a day or two and I'll come up withtwo brands! If you intend on scanning on 35mm nega there is the Nikon Coolscan 4000. There is also from Nikon and Epson two flatbeds scanners that also do 2 1/4 negs. The Epson is about $350 and Canon is much less expensive at about $230. Epson has an Ice technology that gets rid of diusts. Happy New Year

Simplement, magnifique...

Evan without you sad life story, this one is (for me) the best from your gallery. Heavy and moody as it is makes my breathing difficult. It is like life disappearing into the unknown and the glimpses of what once was joy and happiness hangs over us in a form of a tree.

This is so poignant, both in vision and sentiment. The quietlight of the day, the mist, the solitary figure... it is poetry for the eyes.

lovely photography, its emotional and moving and although its sad, the story behind it, and your own personal feelings towards it lift the image even more, nice work

Thank you very much! In the preparation of oxygen, a catalyst - manganese dioxide is used to accelerate the reaction. Whereas a catalyst only accelerates the procedure and remains unchanged at the end, not having partaken in the reaction, we humans always partake in the reaction and we always leave something behind!
