Description
Although not the true reigning prince of the entire nation of Yakyakistan, he is a Prince Reagent of a very large herd called Herd Stronghorn. He is 4th born in a family of 10, his 3 parents (one father and two mothers), his 2 other brothers, one older sister, himself, and then his two younger sisters and youngest brother.
In order to better Yakyakistan's relationship with Equestria, the King sent his son Rutherford and a large mass of his people to integrate into Pony life. (ok so I dont like the plot of the real episode where rutherford is a pretentious ass about the ponies trying to appeal to yak culture so I'm tweeking it a bit) Upon arrival in Equestria he and his epole were warmly recepted by Princess Twilight Sparkle and her knmights of Harmony, thye tried so very hard to make everything just like the Yakyakistani Capital St. Matka by conjuring snow, making Yakyakitani cuisine and playing tranditional Yakyakistani music. This was an amazing welcome!.... for the first 3 weeks, then it seemed as though Twilight and her friends weren't interested in showing his people about Equestrian life. He and his council asked many times but it seemed like Canterlot really just wanted a second St. Matka just within Equestrian borders. Rutherford was very upset and wanted to leave, but fortunately fro him, there was a little pink earth pony who entered his camp with a wagon of goodies to show the Yaks. She showed them Equesstrian baked goods and traditional Hearth's Warming sings (this took place in the winter) and taught some of the younger yaks the story of the founding of Equestria and they put on a play reenacting it for the Prince and his council. Rutherford was so happy his people were receptive to the introduction to this new culture but moreso to this time pony who wanted to share her world with him and his people.
He knew, evevn after seeing her with her two other spouses, Gourmet Cheese Sandwich and another royal, Queen Skystar of Arisea, he knew he had to have them for himself. He married those three as well as Thorax, his current lover, at a HUGE traditional Yakyakistani wedding.
He has 3 children, 2 sons with Thorax and one daughter with his tiny Equestrian wifey, Pinkie.
