Description
Finally, more Aubrey!Born an only child in Essex, England, Aubrey has been used to getting things her own way, and is rather spoiled and stubborn, even if she's a generally well meaning person. She likes to project an image of self confidence, but is deep down very self conscious, but despite this, she always sticks up for herself. She's generally very unambitious and has a short attention span, but can be very enthusiastic and energetic when in specific circumstances. Aubrey is currently attending classes at a University in Essex and lives on campus with her roommate, Elise. On her first day of a newly acquired lifeguard job, Aubrey is captured by invading pirates and soon discovers a new world of interesting and equally frightening characters. What dangers await Aubrey on the seas? Find out in Sea Legs, coming soon(I hope

You're welcome. Classic pirates like Black Beard used intimidation to wring loot from their victims. I think Aubrey would use charm and good dose of cute.

After some selfies and videos appeared in social media, I'm sure being hijacked by Aubrey the Pirate would become a status symbol.
Oh, question: Maybe I've read this and just forgotten, but is Aubrey's name in inspired by Captain Aubrey from the works of Patrick O'Brian?

Haha, that would be a fun angle to explore for sure!
Can't remember if I brought it up elsewhere either, haha, but partly for sure(that, and I just like the name Aubrey)! I haven't read any of the Master and Commander books(though my sister is a big fan), but I've seen and love the film adaptation.

Yes, Aubrey is a good name. It would work well for a guy, too, but the fact a girl is using it makes it a sexy handle.
I highly recommend the series; they could fuel a lot of ideas, I'm sure. Oh, and check out "A Sea of Words" by Dean King. It's a dictionary of the nautical terms, places, political groups, etc. in the series.
