How cute! It seems that he inherited his father's hair <3
I want to see more about the little Sartaq with his tiger. Is an endearing image although I don't see Batu like the kind of fatherly type... ...

I quite like what you've done here - particularly the patterns on their clothes, and that wee little tiger.

1. The little one with the tiger is adorable
2. I envy your drawing style soooo much
3. You make me curious about Sartaq's mother, as I'm clearly not very familiar with Mongol history

Not much is actually known about Sartaq's mother, Batu's first wife, only that her name was Borakchin and she served as regent briefly after Sartaq's death. Sartaq died only a year after his father, its pretty tragic especially since some historians think Sartaq died because his uncle poisoned him. I hope that was (marginally) helpful, Mongol history is one of my favorite history subjects and I just had to answer your question.

No, Sartaq. You cannot have Batu's tiger. :I (because I'm going to steal it from him. )

THE TIGER!!!
*cough* *regain composure*
No seriously, I love the composition and shading. And the details and costumes, as usual. And yes, this scene is adorable.
Also, my brother had a friend called Sartaq, so every time I see that name, I can't help thinking of him ^^
He was North Indian, though, not Mongolian.

That tiger toy is the cutest thing I have ever seen..! Though I would have been scared of it as a child.
Would still love to have one on my shelf. :3c

Batu looks so much more regal when he's older, he looks more like a Mama Lion now.
