ah too true. im job shadowing them right now and most of the people there are pretty cool. its disappointing(not surprising) that theyre making a sequal to kung fu panda.

I'm sure the animators are all nice people. I just wish they had better stuff to work with. I thought Kung Fu Panda didn't need a sequel, either, but am not surprised in the least that it's getting one. Probably a third and fourth one as well if the second film does well enough. After all, the Shrek franchise has run its course.

When I initially replied to this, I had only seen the trailer for HTTYD which made it look awful, just another sub-standard Dreamworks film. Since then I've heard so many good things about the movie that now I really want to see it. I'll have to wait until the DVD release though, since they're not showing the English version anywhere near me.

well hopefully you like it. Personally speaking if you watch the movie the characters are REALLY expressive and animated very well (especially during a sequence called "See You Tomorrow")
