Description
Upon reaching Pride Rock, Mheetu lay Kopa on a bed of grass in the den and let Rafiki do what he could. After that, the baboon went around to each and every lion and lioness to tend to their injuries.
He wanted to check Mheetu first, but the king refused until his pride was well.
Most of the injuries were superficial, mere scratches and bruises, but others were more serious. Some had lost blood during the the battle, so Rafiki did his best to help.
When he finally got to Mheetu, he took a leaf and some herbs and placed it over his eye. Kovu, who suffered a scratch on his eye, led the Pride to the water hole to wash.
When they returned, they fell into a heap and drifted off.
Moja and Nadra stayed close to Imani and Taba. Moja was enjoying spending time with his new brother and even got him to say Momo, which meant Moja. Mheetu and Aina stayed close to Nala, Kinga, Kiara and Kion as they sat by Kopa. He had suffered a head wound, but nothing serious, as yet. Rafiki wouldn't be able to see the damage till he had awakened. Night fell and Mheetu had convinced Nala and her family to sleep while he watched over Kopa.
Moja, who was sleeping in the corner with his mom, awoke to see Mheetu sitting, quietly, watching over his nephew. His mind started to work as he thought about pride life. All his life, he had lived in an abusive pride. He couldn't expect Mheetu to take him in, not after he helped attack his pride.
But Mheetu seemed like a good and fair king, unlike his half-brother.
Sighing, Moja looked to Nadra. For years, the had planned to escape their pride. Now they had. They were rid of the evil pride forever.
So why did he still feel trapped?
