Description
These are a few OC's of mine, three cubs who each lost their pride but formed one of their own.The tan one with the multi colored mane is Ranji. He was cast out from his pride when he refused to battle his brother in a match for the position of king. He and his brother were approximately 8 years old in human terms. Ranji was cast out to survive on his own.
The middle is Nadra, a lioness born to a small pride. Her name means rare for she had been the first lioness to sprout a mane. Not quiet as majestic as the males, it reached the lenght of a a young teenage male when it stopped growing. She lost her family to a pride of rogues when she was young. She managed to hold her own before one lion caught his claw on her eye. Since then, she's trained herself to be prepared for any challenge.
The final lion is Kasi. He was raised soley to be betrothed to a lioness cub to unite a pride and form a kingdom and prevent war. When Kasi was old enough to realize this, he begged his parents to reconsider but the choice had been made. Angered and afraid of what this might mean for him and refusing to mate without love in the mix, Kasi ran away.
The three found each other, three separate lions from three different worlds. They were barely into their teens when they formed their own pride and took over their own roles. Kasi, was the fastest and therefore caught most of their meals. Nadra had the most experience in battle training and thus kept unwanted rogues at bay. And finally Ranji took the role of a silver tongue. Whereas as his two companions could be rather off putting in appearance, Ranji was the more social when it came to other animals. Especially other prides when the traveling rogues needed land to hunt and sleep, Ranji always had a way of convincing the pride to allow them to stay a few days.
They treat each other as siblings would, of course Kasi and Ranji being particularly protective of Nadra when a male lion approaches her.
They have no intention of joining another pride and keep to themselves, happily exploring the plains of Africa and allowing each other to be themselves.
Nadra means rare
Kasi means speed
Ranji means colourful
