Description If you like Fleetwood Mac, you'll prolly get this in like 2 seconds. If not, Google my friends, Google. Google knows the way.

Truthfully, " Mirage " isn't even one of their best albums but " Hold Me " is a good song. Mokey would sing it.

Oddly enough, I was listening to Foster The People when I was doing this though.

Sigh! Look here! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirage_%…

12/1/22 Much love to Christine and Fleetwood Mac. πŸ™‚

Frankenfraggle.

Fraggle clothes seem to be unisex, so how could a Fraggle be a sweet transvestite?

They wouldn't know what to do with it. Gobo would probably use it to blaze trails through the caves.

Oh yeah! Like in Labyrinth. Too bad he did have it when he was stuck in the... what was that called? The Outer Barrens? The Great Maze? In transit to the Invisible Garboyle.

" Gobo's Discovery " sealed the deal for me. I think it was the 3rd episode I saw.

Ah, the episode that made you a fan? I remember the ep of ReBoot that did that to me. In Painted Windows Hexadecimal got control of the system paint program and started wreaking merry havoc in the system. Floods of paint, Dali landscapes, Kandinsky and Picasso and Da Vinci and Klee Warhol and other styles everywhere - it made the art nerd in me clap my hands with glee. And it had an amazing finale, one that had me going "And THEN what happened?!"

With Fraggle Rock... well, there was no one episode. They're all so much fun, it just grew on me. But quickly, as I was watching DVD eps one or two a day.

BTW, sewing feather hair onto a puppet is labor intensive work. Eesh!

I think Gobo's Discovery was the 3rd episode I saw. First was " The Raddish Famine " and then it was... oh... the one where Junior tried to blow up the Rock... can never remember the title of that one when I want to. Anyway, that was the first time I saw Gobo and kinda was all " CoooOOOOOOOooooooOOOOOl ".
I knew of Fraggle Rock for years. I thought it was some muppet " rock " band on HBO & was the reason I wanted to get cable... I dunno why. We didn't get Cable 'til the summer of 1986. It wasn't until the school year started that someone found Fraggle Rock on. Once I saw Gobo, for some reason that was it. It smacked me upside the head and has been attached there ever since.

I forgot about Reboot. I never watched it though. Didn't they make action figures for it?

I think they just glued the hair into my Boober puppet's head. He looks like a monk without his hat, so I leave it on.

I never saw FR when it was on HBO. We never got the premium channels. I got the DVD box set on a whim a few years back, and...wow! NEATARINO!

Oh yes, they made many action figures for ReBoot. The original Irwin series, the season 3 series, the mega figures, the bendies and mini-PVCs. I have lots of 'em. If anyone needs a spare Glitch Bob, I can hook 'em up.

I've sewed 2/3 of the hair on, and it does look good! It's swept back rather than the usual explosion-behind-the-eyes, but it still has plenty of flyaway fluff. I've done a puff behind the eyes and then started sewing from the back up, so it looks like he has classic male pattern baldness. he could join Uncle Matt at the Feather Club for Fraggles.

If this turns out well, I may try my hand at a Boober replica.

REALLY? So, you've only been a fraggle fan for... well, since the 25th Anniversary DVD set came out? REEEEALLY?

Okay, I'm beginning to remember the Reboot figures. I've usually been pretty hip to the action figure scene.

Why are you sewing fraggle hair anyway? Are you crafting your own fraggle? Will you show pics?

I've been a Fraggle fan for less than two years. If you look back in my gallery you can see when the little rodents took residence in my brain.

The season 3 ReCoot action figures were really nifty. They were based on the actual CGI models. They had more planned, like Mouse and Hexadecimal, but Irwin has the nerve to go out of business. I do have the prototype stuffed Skuzzy, which was given to me by the fan who bought all the Irwin maquettes.

Why yes, I am building a Fraggle. The materials were hard to find, as purple fur is not common. However, I lucked into an amazing price for purple ostrich feathers! As for pics, you better believe it, baby!

You'd never know since you're so fluent in fraggle-speak.

Kinda like Palisades zonked out on us. I have the Gobo prototype though.

Cool! My peepers will be waiting.

Negaduck9 In reply to Phraggle [2012-08-10 02:23:00 +0000 UTC]

Heh, when I really like something I become very well acquainted with its lore. It's a writer thing, I suspect.

I wish I'd known about the Palisades figures when they were current. I would have snagged them all.

Yes, I know about your Gobo, you lucky so-and-so. But if anyone ought to have that, you oughtta.

I just finished his tail. The boiled fur turned out lovely and wool-like. However, the baloobius was excruciatingly labor intensive. Seriously, holy crud, I had no idea it would be so much grief!

AHH..memories..I won this record..YES..RECORD..for having the MOST ORIGINAL Halloween costume in 8th grade (I wore an a VERY old tuxedo and top hat, while EVERYONE else was dressed as a punk...this was 1983 ya know,,guess just NOT having pink hair construed being original )

Had it for years..dont know what happened to it..but..LOVED it when I had it

AND..pretty awesome rendition of the album cover

Sweet! I'd love to have the record of this someday. I recently got one of those comglomo-stereo thingies that has a turntable along with the CD player, cassette deck and I think an iPod hook-up. Album covers, especially older ones, are awesome. I LOVE old Fleetwood Mac band photos though.

I was in 3rd grade in '83 so I was only aware of Star Wars stuff.

Thanks. This idea had been percolating for a while.
