I guess the key to this style is daring to be crazy. I, like many people, tend to be too cautious when it comes to style (partly because of situations like this: Friend: "Gosh, what's up with his anatomy?!" - I: "It's cartoon, duh!" - Friend: "It looks scary, make it more normal." - and that's even when it's only ever-so-slightly different from "normal"), so I really admire people who just... draw it like that. x)

I didn't count the characters that I recognized, but great work! Even though it's kinda old by now. xD

I think that estimate is actually pretty accurate! XD It's been a pretty long while since I last saw it. I've thought about doing this meme several times but I always get overwhelmed because I can't decide which characters to add. ;o; I truly admire your persistence drawing this many! :'D

Woo, 38! I'm actually surprised I knew that many! XD And, ahhh my brother reminded me on the last one in row four! Uncle from Jackie-Chan Adventures! Gosh it's been so long since I've seen some of these... I'm going to have to go watch some of them later. ;v; I have my dad to thank for getting me into some of the older ones. <3 I watched all kinds of old cartoons with him when I was little. (and still do to this day actually c Cartoons were, and still are a huge inspiration to me too. :'D

Oh gosh, I can imagine! Unfortunately, I have a short attention span when it comes to long projects. XD I always try to do too much all at once and get burnt out pretty quick. >_> Maybe I'd have more luck if I only did one or two a day. XD

So far I recognize around 35.; more exact, 36 or 37...? ...Gosh I love cartoons, and even if I don't really play a LOT of games, I know them 'cause I like them/knoweople who do. xD
I feel like I know some of the other ones, but I guess I need to jog my memory if I want to remember them.

Oh and in the sixth row, that first one...is it from some cartoon where his companion is a rabbit...? I had some Chinese maze/sticker books of the two and their friends... :/

Lol really? I play games, but not as much as some of the people I know. Still, I like to watch my older bro and younger bro play (even my dad at times, when he's not in China), and I sometimes play with them. And I have to blame my younger bro and some of my friends for keeping me updated on games. xD

Yeah, it's also a part of mine. I miss it~ I was pretty excited when I saw it while counting how many I knew. Do you also know the cartoon "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf?" aka "Xi Yang Yang Yu Hui Tai Lang", or "喜洋洋与灰太郎"...? I also really like that cartoon. x3

Actually, I love to make friends and I usually ask first on dA because sometimes I know people can be clingy, and I guess it's just sometimes better than possibly annoying the person. It's always good to know whether or not they're open to making friends, y'know? Sorry if this doesn't make sense...I guess my point is that sometimes when you try to become friends with someone, they don't want to and find it annoying. So I think it's easier to ask and see if they prefer getting to know one another/talking before becoming friends, simply becoming friends, or just not at all in general. Especially when someone's really good (like here on dA), like you, who probably has a lot of friends/comments and stuff.

Hopefully we'll get to be friends someday though, by getting to know one another.

I find it really weird to ask such question when making friends, just imagine yourself doing that in real life, people like me will think it's super weird and get creeped out/ignored you, we only do that when we're still in kindergarten or something :3 Best to chat with those ppl often and bonds just created unexpectedly

Really? My whole family's from China, but I was born here because my parents came here, seeing as I have an older bro and then there's the one-child policy. But I'm glad I'm here. x3
So we go nearly every summer, and I hear from my dad and mom that its super cold in winter, but I've only stayed in China a whole year when I was around 1 and so, so I don't really remember it.
Meaning, it's always super hot when I go. xD

Lol really? I sometimes ask people in real life too, after striking up a conversation, and it usually works out. Plus I often help new Asians (specifically Chinese people) when they come to school 'cause I know Chinese (sorta–I understand and can speak, but complicated terms? No. And I can't read a lot of it, and I also can't write a lot. ). So that's how I make friends with some of the Asians I'm friends with now. And people say I'm nice and helpful, so...yeah.

But yeah, sorry if I creeped you out. I've never really thought it was that scary. I just find it better than /possibly/ annoying you—I've had these issues in the past, and it's made me feel bad before; I get guilty easily, especially with people I'm friends with. Less with my family 'cause of how close I am to them.

My ancestors are from China, they just moved to Malaysia during the World War period :3 So I'm not used to the coldness


fff xD Guess that's how Asian make friend now??? Naaaaah, I don't think so. It's one of the worst method imo lol. I'm Chinese so I understand them, but often speak English now since it's an international language, only speak Chinese at home/with Chinese friends. And most of us Asians certainly don't make friends by just going up to strangers and ask 'do you wanna be my friend?' (that only happen in kindergarten/elementary school)
