He is my entry, it took me quite a long time to finish, but I enjoyed the process. ^^

Question

- ( What programs or tool did you use: )
I used a GNU Image Manipulation Program called GIMP.
The software is free and quite powerful, I love it.

- ( Where did you find your inspiration for your entry: )
I like dragons and faerie tales, that's it.
The inspiration started as just an idea, which then turned into me sketching lots of drawings in my computer.
My inspiration for this entry mainly comes from all the time I spent into the universe of fantasy through games, books or movies.

My creative process usually consists of drawing and having ideas at the same time. During the sketch, the lineart, the coloring, the shading, or in any other circumstance I'll look at what I have and think about my next steps.

Since it asked for a transformation into a drastically different thing, I though it would be cool to match two creatures that are commonly seen as enemies. The first idea that came to my mind was a Knight transformed into a Dragon, since these are both mortal enemies in most faerie tales.

However I wanted to change more than just the character, so I would not only change it into a dragon but also change his nature and expression, going from a confident and heroic knight to a confused and coward dragon.

There was still one more thing I could work with, so I decided that the background would also change from a cheering crown, into a panicking crowd and finally into a bunch of threatening soldiers pointing spears.

- How long did it take to complete:

It took me a lot of time; something about 15 or 20 hours, divided among a week.
The technical part isn't the longest one, since my style of art is pretty simple and straightforward.
I can list all the things that consumed my time during the drawing:
1. I would frequently draw listening to music or podcasts, which sometimes takes away my attention XD.
2. I drew lots of variations of the same art with minor changes, and then it took me a lot of time to decide which one would be used (This also counts for choosing colors).
