Since y’all likes seeing Thrax and Phyre in their softer more vulnerable sides so much, we decided to make an animated AMV themed around the subject. We also have a “Fever” Thrax theme song/AMV in the works for a while, and a few other animations including nsfw and significant life moments themed, and a few for key moments in the comic. Decided to spend a few days on this one though (which is why we are a bit behind on posting) since it’s valentines season and tbh this has rly deep personal meaning to me personally as well as us in terms of irl past traumas, our dynamic with Thrax, and our MH healing journey of the last several years. I know it’s a bit odd or out of character to see Thrax being so loving and intimate, but it will become more and more clear as to the why and how as comic and our arts come to fruition. This one isn’t directly tied to comic, or like, when this is done the animation sequence isn’t going to be one in the comic, but it is very relevant to the Thrax/Phyre dynamic and our irl life as a system.
Phyre sort of explained already, and hinted at, having some very traumatic past times with humans and others, she’s seen -a lot- in her time, been through a lot, has seen the best and worst that life itself can conjure, but millennia of lifetime and trauma shatters you, leaves you broken, and sometimes it takes finally finding someone just as broken as you are before you can finally accept that the past happened, that you’re finally safe to cast away the denial and facade of control and power etched into the walls you’ve built around your core, accept that you can’t change the past, but you can heal from it with love and understanding, and work together for a brighter future. As Tom Hanks in Cast Away said “you just have to…keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun -will- rise, and who knows what the tide will bring”

ps, this takes forever, and it’s only a clip of what we have so far. We’ll post more as we get more progress done
