This is designed to show the best 2D/Sidescrolling Game Controler.

The best dpad i know, is from the PS. Its a bit small but it feels nice.
The Gamecube buttons are a matter of taste, but I think it fits. The A and Button can simply pressed, and the X and Y are in a good alternative place.
L and R, a mechanic like the PSvita bring the best feeling, you can now think about it if L2 and R2 are necessary in classic 2D or new sidescroll games (and rumble motor?)
Start and select are on the down side, and more like the psp trigger in smaler
