Description "For as long as they'd been working for NERV, Aoi Mogami, Satsuki Ooi, and Kaede Agano were perfectly content playing the support role, helping ensure NERV continued to be a well-oiled machine in the battle against the Angels. When all three wind up in a couple of fantastically unexpected freak accidents, their shared view get challenged as they find themselves thrust to the front lines, as Aoi learns more about the 'bigger picture' from the smallest vantage, while Kaede and Satsuki discover a whole new meaning of 'putting your heads together'."

Among the vastness of Evangelion fan fiction, one of my favorite series of stories is OrionPax09 and Mike 313's Superwomen of EVA tales, where each author takes a major or supporting female character and transforms them into either a certain DC (in the case of Mike313) or Marvel (OrionPax09) hero.

Way back in 2019, I gave you my own initial depictions of my own additions to the Superwomen of EVA narrative environment, mostly created through Photoshop. This year, I aim to see them updated by more skilled hands, so I'll definitely be calling upon Zair-dacorus  for their help. In addition, I'm also planning to 'continue' the series of profile pieces OrionPax09 worked on (seen here in one subfolder of my favorites ) by filling in the gaps for certain characters, while also contributing my aforementioned additions.

Closing out April, the next updates fall onto Aoi, Satsuki, and Kaede, the bridge bunny trio introduced in the 2004 video game Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji Ikari Raising Project (which would also be adapted into a long-running manga of the same name). They were among my earliest 'contributions' to the SOE narrative environs, as seen in the piece below:

As outlined in that early version, for the DC-based Superwomen of EVA 2 side of things, bespectacled Aoi was turned into the fic-verse's version of the Atom (which, ironically, was an alternate mantle given to Ritsuko Akagi in one of the omakes of Mike313/Haster's "Blue Defiance" story), where I opted to give her an outfit blending the sensibilities of the comic version with the techno-suit take from the live-action CW-verse shows. Short-haired Kaede and long-haired Satsuki, on the other end, wound up being given the ability to fuse into the fic's version of one of my all-time favorite DC heroes in Firestorm. In the narrative context, where Firestorm sometimes helps NERV's EVAs against the Angels that are more tangible threats, the Atom (outside of a fight with Iruel) handles a lot of the 'detective work' that enables the trio to realize there's a lot more going on than they know in the background of mankind's struggle against the monsters on their doorstep. (Plus, in a hypothetical story, it'd give me an opportunity to bring the little-known rogues galleries of the Atom and Firestorm into play, which for the most part in prior multimedia adaptations usually amounts to the likes of just Chronos and the various incarnations of Killer Frost.)

Zair-dacorus did an amazing update on my original depictions, all while basing the posing off of this piece by artist Ivan Reis . Shows how much of a hot streak they've been on with my commissions, and never one to shrink from my 'challenges'.
