Full view to see it all.Basically this is a revision of idAmn.
I went into more detail just to explain the ideas better.
Some parts can be improved so ideas are appreciated

We were getting a team together to do it, but the idea is slowed down, if I actually had a Mac myself I would make it but I don't.

It's not bad, though the colors you chose are more like deviantART v5, the palette is wrong for v6. I can't comment on functionality, me and my LG VU do not access the web except for random Metal videos and occasional wacky ringtones, weather reports, etc... Also (Just an "FYI"), there's some gaussian blur in your preview on the "new" dA logo concept... Dunno if you used a low resolution in your source file, or what, but it's noticeable... Best step up that game Bro!
Still, it's smooth looking, and seems to have the features one would need, and is easy to read.

Yeah, some of the colours are more v5 as the lighter ones seemed to blend more.
Is there a higher resolution version of the logo concept? I just grabbed it off the creative page.
Resolution is 72 PPI, which is normal web standards, so should look fine.

The logo was made by $liquisoft , and when you use it in your dA Visual Suggestion, make SURE you credit where you got the logo from. You can find a slightly higher resolution version HERE in $liquisoft 's gallery. It hasn't been "completely" released yet, but it IS official. 72 DPI is standard, but 300 always looks sharper. Given the size of your image though, 72 is probably a better choice.

Gonna have to learn to duplicate the work for yourself then in Photoshop using Shapes. Rounded Rectangle is already in Photoshop. The "dA" symbol is a Custom Shape, and if you search for it, you can find it here on dA.. That way you can make it larger or smaller whenever you want, and NOT have to worry about resolution problems.

Not using flash or java. We would be coding it using the iPhone SDK, therefore using Sockets etc nto touching FLash or Java.
