They're two totally different shows! Why would you bring them into this? They're comedy. Mostly. They've done stuff like cloning and such before.
And the only reason they're getting rid of Mrs. Krabopple is because her voice actor is dead. 

And she's not even a main character??

Mrs. Krabopple's a main character.  She may not be a Simpson, but she's been in a lot of episodes and has several plot lines.
