OK. I think I got this one. So I believe that they're both joined by marriage. (the machine in the middle and the rings on her right hand) And the guy is basically tearing himself apart and scratching out his eyes, just to make his wife happy with jewelry and plastic surgery. It's basically the struggle of man for his counterpart.

my interpretation---
the "male" is in the throe of metaphysical conflict because of his insight and heightened consciousness
the "female" unaware of her lack of knowing and sense of what being is, is self obsessed on concentrated on the physical world which she believes to know-but can't really say she knows for sure
I believe that this maybe a accurate depiction of the AVERAGE male and female lifestyles...

This is absolutely awesome. Its incredible to get those kinds of textures from pencil. I really like the fact that both characters are emerging from the same place, but are so different. The colours assigned to each one reflects their attitudes and I like the mocking tone the one on the right seem sto have.

well I would say nice details, yet i cannot get the meaning out of it, maybe u can help! All I could see is man in pain, woman feels pleasure! yet the things woman has on include Pakistani/Indian style jewelery and a Christian Cross, so what does it mean?? Is the female conservative in thoughts making the man tear himself apart or what?
