Description
these params took the long road as i was expecting them to render earlier. i posted the params in chat and started ponging with *lindelokse . Light joined the fun. after that i did some more tweaking and tweaking ended up with thisi always find it hard in what category they should be... raw or manip? do tell me i would love to hear where you would put it xD.
Opinions about whether to use the filter or not are greatly appreciated too (the good and the bad).
thats it for now enjoy
EDIT: i made the filter a little more subtle as well as i uploaded the raw render for comparison
oh btw its a bubble in a taurus kind of thing put in a halfplane with curl. then theres julian -> whorl -> flux. there is fallof2 on the julian.
thats all i'll say

way cool dear ! I do really like the depth effect you achieved, extremely eyecatching
!
I just think the texture is a little too strong

I honestly think the canvas filter kinda detracts. I saw this in thumb mode and got all excited and... eh, I know the canvas is supposed to give it an air of verisimilitude, but something about gimp's filters just have all the hallmarks of cold digital production. *Especially* since this fractal has such delicious smooth areas...

ah ok thank you very much for the imput
to be honest the flame params arent very smooth (maybe chaotica could smoothen it out but chaotica doesnt do smart_crop and i needed that on the taurus).
maybe it will look better on real canvas in real live xD. until then i dont have the ability to do it on a different way as i do want a little more texture then the render has given me.
reading your comment and chiara's makes me decide to go for a little more subtle canvas filter. relook this one in a few
